In August

In August the garden is sleepy, hot, and with a few exceptions, not growing very much.

Flowers do grow.

The grape vine is alive.

Shading is important.

Now we wait for a little more coolness, and eagerly plan Fall planting.

What do the neighbors see

Anyone driving by on Bonarden will see what I saw one lazy afternoon.

The tomatoes are going crazy and supplying the foodbank with food, and the sunflowers are there to remind us to look up and notice beauty.

It's that time

It's squash time.  Melons, Zucchini, etc.

It's deliciously good to walk through the garden and discover these pretties hiding under leaves.
